Your wedding photos should be timeless. They should capture the feeling of your day, and be something you’re proud to hang on your walls for years to come. How do I make sure you and your spouse are the centerpieces of every photo? Balanced color tones with subtle pops of color! This doesn’t mean your photos will be boring – quite the opposite! Kim and Jeff did an amazing job incorporating these ideas into their wedding photography, and they looked stunning in their photos!
If you’re considering a neutral color palette, here are some tips to help make things pop. Flat-lay photos show your details and allow you to play with different colors and textures.
Add a pop of color with your ring boxes or florals. This will add some visual interest to your photos without taking away from the overall look.
This is a great way to add just enough color without going overboard.
St. James Cathedral in Orlando, Florida
St. James Cathedral is a popular choice for Catholic couples getting married in Orlando, Florida. The beautiful architecture and stunning details make it a perfect setting for timeless wedding photos.
Kim and Jeff’s guests were dressed in bolder colors, adding the perfect amount of color to the room. The darker tone of the pews gives the church more dimension and lifts the light.
The large windows allow in more natural light, making it easy to capture your walk down the aisle. I know from experience that this venue is absolutely beautiful, and your photos will be stunning!
Using a Neutral Color Palette
Can I let you in on a secret? This is one of my favorite cathedrals in Orlando! That’s what I want for you too…the perfect setting for timeless, romantic photos that you’ll cherish forever. Even the bridal photos are the perfect examples of how stunning a neutral color palette look can be. Their pops of color became a part of the overall look of the photos and it still felt natural.
And just for fun, we closed the day at St. James Cathedral with a cute bubble exit. This was such a sweet way for our couple to head out.
Lake Mary Event Center
The reception was held on the second day at Lake Mary Event Center. Kim kept the complementary details from the ceremony which made for a natural transition because she kept her colors clean and muted. Lake Mary Event Center was a beautiful location for the reception. The soft colors and natural lighting made it the perfect place to take some unique photos of the bride.
When you use a natural color palette, it is best to let the cake speak for itself. Add texture in the icing and minimal decor to the cake or the table. If you’re considering Lake Mary Event Center for your wedding, they do have a space for your ceremony and ready rooms.
Your wedding can be unique as you if you use the details the venue already has!
The views across Crystal Lake behind the event center are just breathtaking. You have an opportunity to play around with the building’s architecture, the sunset, and the natural greenery and trees.
Whether you are in Orlando, Florida having a wedding at St. James Cathedral, or you are at the Lake Mary Event Center, neutral colors are the best design elements to build on. Reach out and let’s talk about the accents and natural tones that will make your day feel romantic and elegant.
