Inside Casa Feliz

The wedding party can use the upstairs of Casa Feliz as a getting-ready space before the ceremony. I met Ginny at her hotel before she came over to Casa Feliz to capture some photos before the day began. Ginny is a dancer. She is classy and exudes pure elegance; she fits right into Casa Feliz as if it were her home. 

The upstairs of the house is not open to guests, so this is a great opportunity to get some stunning shots without worrying about people being in the background. Don’t worry…I wouldn’t snap a photo unless the background was perfectly clean and polished.

The Indoor Courtyard

The indoor courtyard is another beautiful space at Casa Feliz. It is surrounded by Spanish-style panels with blue accents and a small fountain, creating a romantic and intimate setting. This space is perfect for…

• The first look with your parents or spouse,
• Reading your vows privately,
• Capturing some gorgeous photos of the two of you,
• Practicing your first dance, or
• An outside bar to keep the party moving through different spaces.

I always try to keep personal moments personal and not be intrusive when you two share a private moment. But let’s be honest – I know you’re going to want the photos! My crew has longer lenses so we can stay further back and be as discrete as possible so you can have the best of both worlds!

The Foyer Credenza

One of my favorite details at Casa Feliz is the credenza space inside the foyer. This is a great spot for guests to drop off gifts as they arrive or to sign the guest book. The best part about this space is that not many people utilize it! It’s a hidden gem that I love because of its character and charm.

The Party Time

The DJ sets up in an interior room, which is a great idea because it keeps the noise level down and doesn’t impact the party. I love when couples set up a photo booth in this space too! It’s the perfect place for guests to snap some fun photos with each other. And yes, I’m going to take a few photos of them being goofballs inside the photo booth too. That’s why I’m here, right?!

The Outdoor Courtyard

One thing that makes Casa Feliz so special is the stunning outdoor courtyard. This space is perfect for an intimate ceremony. Ginny’s brother escorted her down the aisle since her father had passed away. To include her father in the ceremony, she did have a memorial chair set in his honor on the first row. 

The courtyard is technically the front of the house; it is surrounded by beautiful blue accent panels on the house and lush greenery that separates the house from the golf course.

There are also several scenic photo opportunities around the courtyard, including a gorgeous arched doorway or overhead balcony. 

The Golf Course View

The golf course is a beautiful open backdrop for the courtyard. The greenery and seclusion make it feel like you’re in your own little world!

It’s always so neat to see golfers stopping to watch the ceremony, and they are always very respectful. 

While you use the edge of the golf course to complete some photos, your guests can move to cocktail hour. You have the option of hosting it outside or inside the house. Which option would you prefer?

The Reception

The patio behind the house is a great place for dinner. I love when couples use this space because it’s so beautiful and the natural light gives me such good vibes. Most couples sit on the covered lanai so they have the arches in front of them.

If you want to move your reception inside, the house can accommodate that, but it depends on your guest count. I think it would be more fun to start the party outside so you can take advantage of all the venue has to offer.

The food & beverage at Casa Feliz is provided exclusively by Arthur’s catering, and we love everything they have to offer. From the avocado bar to a tapas buffet to a shrimp ‘n grits station, they have something for everyone!

The Cake

And no, I didn’t forget about the cake. There is a separate credenza inside that you can use to cut the cake. I hear from my bakery friends they LOVE this because their wonderful buttercream creations won’t melt in this Florida heat!

Winter Park, Florida

Winter Park is a charming city located just outside of Orlando, Florida. The city is home to Rollins College and a number of beautiful parks and gardens. It is also known for its quaint shops and restaurants.
