If you’re following me on Instagram, you may have seen my Reel about this recently, but let’s dive in a little more about the 3 things you should do before hiring your wedding photographer!
#1- Ask for 1-2 Full Galleries
Full galleries really give you a chance to see the full scope of a wedding photographer’s work, not just their highlights. You’ll get to see all of their images from some wedding days- from getting ready to reception! It’s a great way to really get a feel for who they are as a photographer, and leads us right into our second point!
#2- Ask them to describe their style
You may sense a photographer’s style in their galleries, but it’s always important to ask your possible wedding photographer to really describe their style. I believe that HOW you tell a story matters so my photos and films are crafted with intentionality to not only express creativity and class but to share a part of you with the world in the most beautiful way. I love to find moments that bring to life the “in-between” as much as the “important.” I love to try to capture the candid joy, the sanctity, tenderness and of course all the ridiculous amounts of unsupervised fun!
#3- Look at Customer Reviews!
When it comes to photography for your big day, customer reviews mean a lot! Past clients will always be honest in reviews, and you’ll be able to find commentary from a wide variety of people to give you more insight into what your photo team is truly like to work with. You can check several locations like WeddingWire and Google– I even have mine load right to my website!
